Vinnie Jones Launches 18v Cordless Tools For Bosch

Over 200 power tool dealers attended the launch at Hellidon Lakes in Northamptonshire where Vinnie Jones put in a first class performance leading the way with a variety of “hard man” challenges. Pitting the trade press and power tool dealers against the tough exterior of Vinnie Jones set the right tone for the launch of the 18v tools which are also known as Brute Tough.
Following a presentation and introduction to the range of power tools, Vinnie kicked off the afternoon’s fun with a penalty shoot out, playing in the not-so-advantageous position of goalkeeper as guests knocked balls into the back of the net and scoring themselves an England football shirt. Then it was up the field for a wheel about in opposite-driving carts known as Powerturns and a favourite past time of Vinnie’s - shooting. Guests braved the April showers in a laser-shooting competition, each trying to beat Vinnie’s score and reign as Brute Tough champion.
Back at the tool demonstrations Vinnie was keen to get stuck in and find out why the new 18v cordless tools are Brute Tough. Commenting on his time in the trade he said: “Even when I was on site, Bosch tools were always the dogs!” with which he happily departed with an 18v combi drill driver and a Bosch on-site radio Powerbox.
The 18v cordless tools from Bosch give heavy-duty quality with a powerful and manageable output. The range reinforces the Bosch brand as the leading manufacturer of professional power tools, and includes:

* circular saw.
All products are compatible with the new Bosch battery packs which can be recharged in 30 minutes thanks to the improved heat management in the chargers. The packs use special cooling rods to distribute the heat consistently through the pack, providing improved care for the battery cells and saving valuable downtime on-site.
The combi and drill driver in the Brute Tough range are designed to withstand a very tough life on site. Each body is made in once piece and is further protected by the Bosch Dura Shield housing material, which provides unmatched protection from hard shocks and heavy knocks.
Combination sets of the 18-volt series, such as a combi drill and a jigsaw or a combi drill and a planer, are supplied in a sturdy tool bag, as are Monster kits featuring a combi drill, planer, jigsaw, flashlight and two batteries with a 30-minute charger. Brute Tough completes the range for Bosch, sitting conveniently between the 14.4v system Compact Tough and 24v Max Power.
